Umphrey’s McGee VR wins Best Live Action Music Video at VR Fest

Puppet Strings, for Umphrey's McGee, won Best Live Action Music Video at his year's VR Fest held in Las Vegas. Fellow Reel FXer, Pete Herzog, who directed it, is probably the biggest Umphrey's fan in the world, so I was happy he got the nod. It was quite the honor considering the other nominees who included Foals, One Republic, The Weeknd, Björk, Megadeth, Hillsong United and more.

“We always knew that Umphrey’s McGee was on the cutting edge of music, but now they’re officially on the cutting edge of music technology too! What a cool achievement.”
